Razorbug
Celebrating Online Graduates in Arkansas
The University of Arkansas is passionate about our land-grant mission to serve our home state and its people. Different students have different needs. Offering online degree programs gives educational access to people who cannot come to the Fayetteville campus. Online students can remain in their hometowns, keep their jobs, and support their families while earning U of A degrees.
To celebrate online student success, Razorbug Diploma Tour was launched in the summer of 2022. The tour took the Razorbug - one of the university's most visible symbols – across thousands of miles to more than 30 cities and towns in Arkansas to recognize graduates where they lived. Faculty dressed in colorful regalia presented framed diplomas to online graduates in front of friends, family, local dignitaries and the Razorbug.
So far, the U of A Global Campus has hosted the tour for three years in a row to recognize online student success and capture inspiring stories. The Global Campus supports academic colleges in the development and delivery of online programs.
