The online General Business Minor from the Sam M. Walton College of Business provides non-business majors access to a wealth of information and skills needed in today’s workforce. Students can take the General Business Minor as part of the requirement for the Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies degree program or add the minor to complement any other U of A non-business undergraduate degree program.

Required Courses
All students seeking a general business minor are required to complete the Walton College computer competency requirement (ISYS 11203) and the following courses:
- ECON 21403, Basic Economics: Theory and Practice
- ACCT 20103, Accounting Principles
- BUSI 10303, Data Analysis and Interpretation
In addition, students must select four of the following (at least 6 hours must be at the 3000 or 4000 level):

or SEVI 20503 - Business Foundations - BLAW 20003 - The Legal Environment of Business
- ISYS 21003 - Business Information Systems
- SCMT 21003 - Introduction to Supply Chain Management
- MGMT 21003 - Managing People and Organizations
- FINN 20403 - Principles of Finance
- MKTG 34303 - Introduction to Marketing
Plus any other 3000- to 4000-level Walton College course (except WCOB 30403)
