Learn the process of moving goods and services efficiently
The online Supply Chain Management Minor from the Sam M. Walton College of Business teaches non-business majors how to move goods and services from producers to customers. Learn to manage information, engage customers and suppliers, and integrate processes that move products efficiently and effectively. Students can take the Supply Chain Management Minor as part of the requirement for the Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies degree program or add the minor to complement any other U of A non-business undergraduate degree program.
Required Courses
- ACCT 2013 - Accounting Principles
Prerequisites: MATH 2053 with a "C" or better and ISYS 1123 with a grade of "C" or better
- ISYS 1123 - Business Application Knowledge
- ECON 2143 - Basic Economics Theory and Practice
- WCOB 1033 - Data Analysis and Interpretation
(or equivalent* ‐‐ INEG 2313, EDFD 2403, PSYC 2013, STAT 2023, STAT 2303, or STAT 3013) Prerequisites: MATH 2053 and ISYS 1123 each with a grade of "C" or better
*Prerequisites for equivalent courses vary by department.
*SCMT 2103 is a prerequisite to all 3000/4000 level SCMT courses
All students seeking an Supply Chain Management Minor are required to complete 12 credit hours that include:
- SCMT 3443 - DELIVER: Transportation and Distribution Management
Prerequisite: ((ECON 2013 and ECON 2023) or ECON 2143) and SCMT 2103 with a grade of C or better - SCMT 3613 - SOURCE: Procurement and Supply Management
Prerequisite: ((ECON 2013 and ECON 2023) or ECON 2143) and SCMT 2103 with a grade of C or better - Two SCMT courses (six credit hours) at the 3000 or 4000 level
