W.E. Manning Memorial Scholarship
The University of Arkansas Global Campus offers W.E. Manning Memorial Scholarships each fall semester to students studying in U of A undergraduate and graduate online degree programs. Apply through the U of A Academic Scholarship Office.
- Annual award of up to $2,000 per person (up to 20 recipients)
- For students in undergraduate and graduate online degree programs
- A scholarship application and essay are required
For the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 Semesters

To be considered for the W.E. Manning Memorial Scholarship, students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate online degree programs must complete the scholarship application and essay. Students are encouraged to demonstrate financial need, academic merit or significant community service. Preference will be given to first-generation higher education seekers and Arkansas residents. For the purpose of this award, a student is defined as a first-generation student if neither parent earned a higher education degree.
The Global Campus Scholarship Committee will review all applications and consider each applicant's information (academic achievement, résumé, essay, recommendation letter etc.). Scholarship decisions will be mailed and emailed to all applicants approximately 60 days after the deadline.
Official transcripts should be mailed or sent via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) to the Office of Admissions, 232 Silas Hunt Hall, 1 University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, AR 72701 by the deadline date.
Watch for email from the Academic Scholarship Office. Approximately two business days after you submit your application for admission, you will receive an email with a link to a personalized website where you will copy and paste your required supplemental materials (list of accomplishments and honors, essay and name of recommender).
The W.E. Manning Memorial Scholarships offered through the Global Campus will be awarded to University of Arkansas students studying in online degree programs. Applicants should complete the form by Feb 15. Scholarships will be announced before classes begin in the fall.
