Greg Ciaccio
Arlington, TN
M.S. in Operations Management
"The M.S.O.M. degree is more than a bullet on my resume...Each class was an eye opener that made me curious to learn more."
For Greg Ciaccio, earning his online Master of Science in Operations Management degree was an exceptional opportunity.
“From my first class, the Master’s in Operations Management from the University of Arkansas had me thinking and operating in a new way,” Ciaccio said. He influenced national recruiting efforts in the U.S. Navy and truly delved into the operation as a whole. In addition, the U.S Navy’s program has been recognized for the strides made by eliminating waste and pursuing a new customer base; he has been recognized personally.
“Each class was an eye opener that made me curious to learn more,” Ciaccio said. He is currently transitioning from the Navy as a Submarine Officer to Civilian employment. The M.S.O.M. degree is more than a bullet on his resume. He has applied these skills to his career search and interviews.
As a result, he has had positive feedback from Amazon, Samsung, TAMKO (Six Sigma-centric Manufacturing) and much more. He attributed this to the study of leadership, strategic management, and human resources in the M.S.O.M. Program.
He is still in second interviews but can’t wait to apply the skills learned to his future position.
“Thanks to the faculty and staff of the M.S.O.M. program for the knowledge and confidence to speak to operations and project management that has allowed me to open a new world of potential career paths,” Ciaccio said.
