Requesting Enrollment Under Financial Aid/Scholarship Guidelines
IMPORTANT NOTICE
The University of Arkansas is phasing out Self-Paced Online Courses. A reduced number of courses is being offered in 2023. The final day to request enrollment will be June 18, 2023.
IMPORTANT
Submitting a request for enrollment does not guarantee successful enrollment
in the courses requested.
University of Arkansas students needing to pay for spring 2023 Self-Paced Courses using any type of aid (including scholarships, loans, grants, etc.) and students needing credit hours from Self-Paced Courses to count toward total credit hours attempted for the spring 2023 term for financial aid or scholarship eligibility purposes must do the following:
- Confirm there are no enrollment holds on your student account.
- Consult your academic adviser regarding course selection.
- Confirm enrollment in the requested courses will not exceed the maximum total number of credit hours of enrollment allowed.
- Be enrolled at U of A in at least three credit hours of non-Self-Paced/Correspondence coursework in the spring 2023 term to enroll in up to three credit hours of Self-Paced/Correspondence coursework in the spring 2023 term.
- Be enrolled at U of A in at least six credit hours of non-Self-Paced/Correspondence coursework in the spring 2023 term to enroll in up to six credit hours of Self-Paced/Correspondence coursework in the spring 2023 term.
- Have met all requisites as listed in the Catalog of Studies for the Self-Paced Courses requested.
- Submit an online Request for Enrollment for no more than six credit hours of self-paced coursework to the Office of Credit Studies no earlier than Monday, November 21, 2022, and no later than Sunday, December 18, 2022.
Students will be notified via email to their UARK account whether a space in the requested course is available. For courses in which there is space available, students will be administratively enrolled, and the courses will appear in UAConnect on their spring 2023 class schedules.
- When the courses open on January 17, 2023, students must log in to their courses in Blackboard Learn and take a syllabus quiz. The syllabus quiz must be completed by 8 a.m. Thursday, January 19, 2023. Students who do not successfully complete the syllabus quiz by this deadline must be administratively dropped from their Self-Paced courses.
- Enrollments processed under financial aid/scholarship guidelines will begin January 17, 2023, and end April 14, 2023.
Only enrollments processed under financial aid/scholarship guidelines are listed alongside on-campus enrollments for the spring 2023 term and count toward total credit hours attempted for the spring 2023 term. Students who enroll under financial aid/scholarship guidelines are not automatically eligible for enrollment extensions, and enrollments processed under financial aid/scholarship guidelines must remain as such, regardless of whether scholarship, loan, or grant funds ultimately cover costs of the Self-Paced courses.

- Consult your academic adviser regarding course selection.

- Enrollments processed under financial aid/scholarship guidelines will begin August 22, 2022, and end November 11, 2022.
Only enrollments processed under financial aid/scholarship guidelines are listed alongside on-campus enrollments for the fall 2022 term and count toward total credit hours attempted for the fall 2022 term. Students who enroll under financial aid/scholarship guidelines are not eligible for enrollment extensions, and enrollments processed under financial aid/scholarship guidelines must remain as such, regardless of whether scholarship, loan, or grant funds ultimately cover costs of the Self-Paced courses.

- Confirm there are no enrollment holds on your student account.
- Consult your academic adviser regarding course selection.
- Confirm enrollment in the requested courses will not exceed the maximum total number of credit hours of enrollment allowed for the term.
- • Be enrolled at U of A in at least three credit hours of non-Self-Paced/Correspondence coursework in the summer 2023 term to enroll in up to three credit hours of Self-Paced/Correspondence coursework in the summer 2023 term.
