Making it easier for me to sharpen my skills through free provided resources like the Finite Prep Club. Which helped me remember the foundations of Finite Math before I have to take Finite Math this summer. I appreciate the Finite Prep Club giving us free prizes for doing a good job on our studies and reinforcing our commitment to having good study habits."

- John Dela Cruz, Finite Prep Summer 2025

Students who participated in the prep course were less frustrated and more able to focus on learning than similar students who didn’t take the prep course. This is probably because the prep course students were more comfortable with how to use Blackboard and Aleks and had practiced using some of the scientific concepts and math from the course."

- Dr. Margaret Hershberger, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry

How long is the course?
4 weeks

Will I be graded?
This is a non-credit course!
You will not receive a grade that will be counted toward your GPA.

Will I have a teacher?
This is a self-guided course. Your instructor selected learning modules from the class software. There is no faculty, but students will have access to free 24/7 tutoring.

What will I be learning?

What if I have a question?
Prep courses are facilitated by the GC Coaching Team. Students may reach out to them anytime during the course. Students will also have access to the community of students who are enrolled in the course for feedback and support.

How do I login?
You will login to Blackboard, the same learning management system you use when logging into all online classes. From there you will login to the subject specific class software, either ALEKS or Pearson, which you will use in your course.
